The first step involves putting chemicals such as Glycolic Acid onto the skin. This loosens blackheads and decreases acne according to the American Academy of Dermatology. Chemical peels remove the top layer of skin by unclogging pores and removing superficial scars, as well as increasing the production of new collagen, elastin and other proteins. This results in smoother- and heathier- younger skin.
 
The second step is the Extraction. Extractions are a minor dermatologcal procedure used to stop blackheads and whiteheads from turning into large, major pimples. During an Extraction, your medical aesthetician uses a small sterile device to extract out the toxins in the area. This stops pimples from getting worse and also helps prevent scarring that occurs when a person picks or squeezes at their own pimples.
